Fraud Babas...

NiyaraKhalsa has an excellent post on the Dera phenomenon... I posted a comment there also. Sikhi encourages people to take personal responsibility for their society. It's easy to sit at home or your computer and prognosticate, but to have any impact one needs action. Start with yourself and then your family.

Eventually, you will have the strength to impact on your Gurdwara and society. There are many followers, aka sheeple, but very few action takers. Sikhism gives you the strength to take action in changing your life and by doing so impacting on others. If you know of Dera followers, then explain to them your disagreement with treating a "holy man" as God/ Guru from a Sikh perspective.
